State Sen. Billy O’Dell says he respects parents who homeschool or send their children to private schools, but doesn’t believe in supporting them at the expense of public schools.

“Our Constitution says we have to provide an education for all our students, and we have to fund it,” he tells a Dutch Fork High class. “Personally, I’m not going to support any initiative that’s going to take money away from public schools.”
