  • How about Lexington/Richland 5?  Have they put their register on line?

    unanimous Wednesday, July 21, 2010 11:45 AM

  • Nope, District 5 has not put their check register online, according to the comptroller's site. What a surprise, eh? This has to be the least transparent district in the state.

  • Greenville Co. doesn't surprise me a bit. They are too busy creating a second check register that will be used offline!

  • Has School District # 50, #51, and #52 put their check registers on line?

  • And why isn't Lexington 1 posted?

    Gin Wednesday, July 21, 2010 10:31 PM

  • I don`t see greenwood co school districts 50/51/52 on this list

  • Hard to say why Lexington 1 isn't posted. They apparently refused to respond to interview requests seeking the answer to just that question.

  • Don't look for Richland/Lexington #5, Kershaw County, or Fort Mill to comply... they all follow the same PLAYBOOK.  Whatever works for one, works for the other, so they will keep using those "plays"; and the tax-players will keep getting "played".

  • Who is going to enforce this law?  I heard Kershaw's  superintendent reported that he wasn't going to comply because the funds weren't provided...."another one of those mandates that they didn't fund."

  • Kershaw's superintendent told me this morning that they would comply now that they found a relatively inexpensive way to do so.

  • The Greenville County School District seems to have a problem because it will not only cost so much, but they have about 20,000 transactions per month per their chairman.  On 7/30/10 I suggested they consult with the Greenville County Administrator since he did it at basically no additonal cost but have not heard about that.  As of 8/17/10 they are still looking at what to do.
